Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been won on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player claimed his first trophy for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult season, achieving just one match at the big events and undergoing a setback at the American major.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his service game in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-term mentor his previous coach.
Presently training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents his first title after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court after spring of 2023.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one championships at twenty-one different competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his previous six championship matches, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and recurring reactions on court had caused observers to doubt if his ability to play at the highest level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete aggressively, reinforced by an better serving game.
He fought back from a deficit in the first set against the difficult opponent, taking four of the last five points to go ahead.
The pair swapped break points in the second set before Moutet, striving for his first professional title, gained dominance to force a decider.
The opponent defended 4 initial break points in a competitive third set before the champion broke to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the title with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to control a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
